2006: THE QUEST: A boy’s journey…for the glory of the King.

Key Verses
One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your might acts. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness” Psalm 145:4,7.

Young Andrake joins the other boys of his region in running to hear the special announcement from the King. He is overjoyed when the invitation is offered to all of them to become a Knight in the service of the King! He soon finds himself alone on his quest, and begins to realize that this will be no easy task. His patient mentor, Sir Conley, trains and instructs him until Andrake decides to set out on his own in search for the Ancient Instructions that have remained hidden for hundreds of years. Many people become a part of Andrake’s quest and he learns some valuable lessons, most notably, that perhaps his quest was not so much about finding the Ancient Instructions as he thought it was…

The children learn Andrake’s lessons right along with him as they are transported back in time to the days of knights and maidens. They are encouraged to recognize the role for which God has created them and then to fill that role in a way that will bring great glory to our King. Session titles include: Our King’s Coat of Arms, Becoming a Brave Knight, The Heart of the Matter, Resisting Temptation, Showing Gratefulness, Learning to Use Our God-Given Talents, Becoming More Christ-Like, and Investing in the Lives of Others.
